Laminating

I learned how to laminate for the first time.

A teacher, at the school, I work at gave me a strip with the letter sounds. She told me to laminate it if I wanted to keep it through out the year. So the teacher took me to the office. It was so easy, all I had to do was push a button and guide it through the machine. If you want it to be steady, put it through a second time. Also when you cut it out, cut about 1/8 of an inch away from whatever it is that you laminated.

I can laminate my student's work and papers they will need through out the year. I won't have to worry about it tearing or them wasting anything on it because you can just wipe it off.

I learned you can’t always judge people by their attitudes; sometimes it goes a little deeper.

I work at an elementary school. One of the students I tutor was hitting the other children even girls for no reason. He would also walk around the room talking, which made me very nervous. After talking to his teacher I learned he was having major problems at home and this was his way of getting attention. I learned to praise me for his work more often. Turns out, he was a very sweet, helpful, and smart young man.

This will help me to understand sometimes the children in my classroom may act out and sometimes there are other reasons they my do so besides just being bad.
